I’m not sure if it’s just me, but I think something a lot of aros and aces don’t get much assurance in is that it’s okay to feel romantic/sexual attraction.

It’s 100% okay to not feel those (or any) attractions, and I will always stand behind that because that’s exactly why aros and aces are treated horribly, but I think we should all remember that it’s not a bad thing to feel attraction.

Sexuality can be fluid. Your orientation always has the possibility of changing, and that’s okay. That’s just as good as a solid, unchanging one.

It’s also possible to feel attraction and be on the spectrums, so this especially goes for demis, greys, etc.

Remember that there is no such thing as a “true” aro or ace. There is no checklist where you have to say yes to all the boxes to be a real aro/ace. There is no strict set of rules that you must follow to be aro/ace. You are not a fake or liar if you don’t fit the textbook definition.

Don’t be afraid to let yourself be attracted to others. Love who you are and embrace your feelings. Don’t hold back because you’re scared that you’re not a “real” aro or ace. If you are aro/ace, then you are, and nobody can take that from you.
